TO MAKE A RESERVATION USE THE ONLINE SIGNUP ON THIS WEBSITE click here. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THIS SITE AFTER 7:30 AM ON SEPTEMBER 15.  YOU CAN STILL COME TO THE HIGHWAY GARAGE AND BE SERVED, BUT THE SHORTEST WAITING TIMES WILL BE AFTER 1O AM.

  • Oil based paint and varnish
  • Wood preservatives
  • Pesticides, herbicides and other lawn and garden chemicals
  • Pool chemicals
  • Metal cleaners
  • Moth balls and crystals
  • Acids
  • Hobby supplies including rubber cement, airplane glue
  • Photo chemicals
  • Chemistry set chemicals
  • Artist supplies
  • Fiberglass resins
  • Flammable liquids
  • Nail polish remover
  • Oven and drain cleaners
  • Gasoline, brake fluid, transmission fluid, antifreeze
  • Kerosene











  • Latex paint (this is not hazardous and can be dried with kitty litter and sent to the Transfer Station)
  • TV’s and Monitors (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Propane Tanks (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Auto Batteries (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Waste Motor Oil (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Tires (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Fluorescent Tubes and Bulbs (take these to the Recycling Center)
  • Household Batteries (except for button batteries, these are not hazardous and can be disposed of with your trash)
  • Medicines.  However, the Sherborn Police Department now has a medicine lock box for the deposit of all unwanted medicines.  You may take your medicines there with no questions asked.
  • Needles and Syringes.  You my purchase a sharps container at a medical supply store and when it is full, follow the instructions on the container for mailing it back to the company that supplied it. A number of regional collection sites are listed at http:/http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/dph/aids/needles-syringes-disposal.pdf.  Sharps willl NOT BE PERMITTED FOR DISPOSAL IN TRASH as of 7/1/2012, by FEDERAL LAW.
