FY2018 Public Disclosure of Proposed Assessments
TOWN OF SHERBORN MA PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF
PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2018
The Town of Sherborn has completed the Fiscal Year 2018 Revaluation/Reassessment of all real and personal property as required by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40 section 56 to achieve full and fair cash value property assessments. The Town of Sherborn has received preliminary certification of the values from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Bureau of Local Assessment for all classes of property for fiscal year 2018.
In accordance with DOR requirements, the valuations are established as of the assessment date of January 1, 2017. Sales information from calendar year 2016 were used to assess single family homes and sales information from 07/01/2015 – 06/30/2017 were used for additional real estate classes, all sales were analyzed to determine the valuations as of the assessment date.
The public disclosure period is from Thursday September 14, 2017 through Wednesday September 20, 2017. You may contact the Assessors’ Office at 508-651-7857 or you may contact the Director of Assessing at firstname.lastname@example.org during the public disclosure period to ask questions, review, discuss and request changes in the proposed values. The Assessor’s Office is located in the Town Hall at 19 Washington Street Sherborn, MA 01770. The office hours are as follows: Monday - Thursday 8:00 A.M. -12 P.M., The list of property values will be on the town website @ www.sherbornma.org during the disclosure period.
