Welcome to the Sherborn Fire & Rescue Department web page. Please take the opportunity to scan through our various pages to learn more about what we do and the many other features and faces of our organization.
The Sherborn Fire & Rescue Department is a full service Department that provides fire protection, emergency medical services, fire prevention and public education to the residents and visitors of the Town of Sherborn. The Department was officially established in 1942, and has been serving Sherborn with pride ever since. The Department initially only provided fire protection until it established an ambulance service in the 1980s. We continue to build upon the success of those that came before us and enabled us to be where we are as an organization today.
The dedication of the members of the Department is second to none. Whether day or night, good weather or bad - Sherborn Firefighters and EMTs answer the call. Sherborn's Firefighters and EMTs are paid-per-call and paid for training and other anciliary duties, but make no mistake about it - our members also volunteer hundreds if not thousands of hours of their time every year to make sure we function at a high level. Sherborn Firefighters and EMTs are simply the best!
We would like to thank the residents and business owners of the Town of Sherborn for their continued support and for continuing to be receptive to our needs. In return, we are able to provide a high level of service at a fraction of the cost of other nearby communities. We'd also like to thank the Select Board, Town Administrator, Advisory Committee, Capital Budget Committee, Police Department and Department of Public Works for the support. We simply would not be able to accomplish our mission without their help.
Call us if you need us. We are here for you!
